EMP. A photography book documenting my Granddad’s work as a harness & collar maker for horses. The book celebrates the trade, skill & the craftsman behind a nearly forgotten livelihood. Hand stitched with a real leather cover (embossed with metal type) and printed on Mohawk Superfine stock.
A few pages of my final piece. Nearly ready for hand in tomorrow. I think its gone well.
An image made by Jerry N. Uelsmann. Research on dreams led me to this artist. Very strange manipulated photographs. Really interesting, check out his website: http://www.uelsmann.net/
'This is a piece of kinetic typography. The words “You Blow Me Away” were screenprinted on a sheet of glass which Craig then blasted with ballbearings & pool balls and photographed to capture it at various stages of its destruction'. Brilliant photographs of a sans serif font. A really unique way to capture typography whilst adding movement and destruction to a clean type face. Craig Ward.
