I have just finished watching a british film titled ‘Submarine’. It was amazing. I think everyone needs to watch this film, and if you do… watch the credits as well! I tried to find them but no such luck. However, the link shows one example of the titles and from the text below, it says the typeface was made just for the film which I thought was a lovely attention to detail and another thoughtful process to the movie. A typographic image of a shoe I designed, inspired by craig wards image for the economist. More of an experiment than a piece of finished work for a magazine as the shoe has no relevance.
'This is a piece of kinetic typography. The words “You Blow Me Away” were screenprinted on a sheet of glass which Craig then blasted with ballbearings & pool balls and photographed to capture it at various stages of its destruction'. Brilliant photographs of a sans serif font. A really unique way to capture typography whilst adding movement and destruction to a clean type face. Craig Ward.
